Swelter Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how RBRN Labs LLC (“we,” “us”) handles information in connection with the Swelter iOS application (the “App”).

The short version: Swelter computes everything on your device. There are no accounts, we operate no servers that store your personal information, we never sell data, and we do not track you across other apps or websites. The App may collect limited, anonymous usage and crash diagnostics to keep it reliable, never your identity, contacts, or location history.

1. Information Processed on Your Device

Swelter’s core function, estimating wet-bulb globe temperature (WBGT) and heat-safety conditions, runs entirely on your device. Your settings and preferences (such as units, notification choices, and saved places) are stored locally on your device. We do not maintain servers that store your preferences, your places, or your activity in the App.

2. Location

If you grant location permission, the App uses your device’s location on your device to request local weather from Apple Weather (Apple’s WeatherKit service). Your coordinates are transmitted to Apple to fulfill that weather request, subject to Apple’s privacy policy. We do not receive, collect, or store your location on any server of ours. You can use the App without location permission by selecting a place manually, and you can change location access at any time in iOS Settings.

3. What We Do Not Collect

We do not collect:

• Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other contact details
• Account credentials (the App has no accounts)
• Advertising identifiers, and we do not engage in cross-app or cross-site tracking
• Your location history (see Section 2: location goes to Apple for weather lookups, not to us)
• Health or medical information

We do not sell or rent any information, and we do not share information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

4. Anonymous Analytics and Crash Diagnostics

To understand how the App is used and to fix problems, the App may collect limited, anonymous diagnostics and usage analytics, such as: which screens are viewed, taps on App features, App version and device model, iOS version, and crash reports.

This information is:

• Anonymous: not tied to your name, email, or any account (none exist)
• Not location data: precise location is never included
• Not for advertising: no advertising identifiers, no tracking across apps or sites, no sale of data

Where a third-party service is used for this purpose, it is configured to disable collection of personally identifiable information to the extent the service allows. Current third-party services are listed in Section 6. When analytics ship in a released version of the App, the App will include a setting to turn them off.

5. Purchases

Subscriptions and purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment details. We may receive anonymized transaction information from Apple (such as whether a subscription is active) solely to unlock paid features.

6. Third-Party Services

The App relies on the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

• Apple Weather / WeatherKit: weather data for your requested location
• Apple App Store / StoreKit: app distribution, purchases, and subscriptions

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Because your preferences and data live on your device, deleting the App deletes them. Anonymous diagnostics, where collected, are retained only as long as needed for the purposes described in Section 4 and are not identifiable to you.

8. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us and we will address it.

9. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding personal information (such as access, correction, or deletion). Because Swelter is designed not to collect personal information, in most cases there is nothing for us to access or delete. Your data is on your device, under your control. If you have a privacy question or request, contact us using Section 11 and we will respond as required by applicable law.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date above reflects the most recent version, and material changes will be posted at this page. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
